About Lovelands Honey

Our Story

Lovelands Honey began with a simple idea and a shared family passion.

A family passion

How Lovelands Began

Just before the pandemic, Laura stepped away from her career in the paralegal profession and returned to the family farm to consider a new direction. Around the same time, her son Jonathan also came home, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the family.

When Laura’s husband Robert enrolled on a local beekeeping course, something he had wanted to do for many years, none of them could have imagined where it would lead.

Starting with just two hives behind the farmhouse, the family soon established a thriving apiary in a wildflower meadow on the farm. As the bee population grew, so did the amount of honey they produced.

At first, the honey was simply shared with family and friends. Then, when the hives began producing more than they could use, they started selling jars at the farm gate. A local opportunity through Mid Suffolk Council helped them take the next step and bring Lovelands Honey to a wider audience.

From those early days, the business has continued to flourish while staying true to the values it was built on: quality, sustainability and community.

Pure & local

Our Bees & Our Honey

We truly care for our bees by maintaining healthy well managed hives that support local pollination, biodiversity and ecosystems.

Our bees forage on the rich variety of wildflowers, hedgerows and countryside surrounding our farm on the Suffolk–Essex border. This diverse landscape gives our honey its distinctive character and flavour.

We produce raw honey, allowing it to retain the natural qualities that make local honey so special.

Every jar is carefully harvested, prepared and packed with the same attention to detail that has earned Lovelands Honey multiple awards.

Community Matters

Farmers’ markets remain at the heart of our business.

They give us the opportunity to meet customers face-to-face, share our story and answer questions about our bees and honey. Many of the people who first discovered us at local markets continue to return year after year.

Over time, customers have become friends, and those connections are one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

Come rain or shine, you’ll usually find us at our market stall with a warm welcome.

What Our Customers Say

We had such a lovely experience with Lovelands Honey when they came to visit our home education group. The children really enjoyed learning through the presentation. The honeycomb tasting was a real highlight for both children and adults. The session was finished off with children rolling a beeswax candle to take home. Everything was engaging, hands-on and pitched perfectly for the group. Thank you for a fantastic experience and we would definitely recommend to other groups.
